Fashion Sell Out
Has fashion become too mainstream? Fashion is defined as the prevailing style or custom, as in dress or behavior. One must ask what fashion means to them. Some may feel fashion is them dreading putting on clothing because they do not have any interest in what is displayed on their figure. Others may believe fashion is why they wake up every morning. When I ponder the definition of fashion of fashion, what comes to mind is self-expression and freedom to stand out in a crowd. Contrary to belief, fashion is more than clothing and accessories that can be donned on a person, fashion is a lifestyle. A lifestyle comes with all the decadent characteristics that make up essence; art, music, beauty, food and let us not forget garments! Some may marvel why a select group of society chooses to live in this manor; in all honesty it is the only manor to exist.
Media has played a large role in trying to explain what it is to live a “fashionable lifestyle”, but if you have not experienced it for yourself then you will never understand. Writing right now is just making the ends of my mouth rise into a smile, thinking of the countless times I have been roof top dripping in some of the greatest artist in the world like Chanel and Balmain just enjoying the company of others in the circle of luxury. Do not get me wrong fashion is not just for people of means, but for everyone. If fashion is one of the reasons why you wake up day after day then you can live the Anna Dello Russos; of the world.
Looking back on what I have shared, I had to wonder if fashion has become too mainstream, absolutely not. If you do have the drive or the dedication then you will not understand why editors and bloggers live and breathe fashion. That is just what makes fashion its an elite club that only people who really want to be apart of the club are in. So in my eyes fashion could never sell its self out.

Baccarat to Open New Beyond Luxury Hotel
The New York Post as reported the the French luxury brand Baccarat is set to open a chic new hotel in 2014. The hotel is currently under construction as I type my little fingers away. The hotel is said to have 120 rooms and luxury condominiums at 20 W. 53rd St. Baccarat is known for its extravagant glassware. The hotel will pinned with a 5-star award once opened. I would not expect anything less from a brand who bleeds luxury. I can not wait to grab drinks in style at this new ultra chic hotel.

The Felipe Oliveira Baptista show I feel embodied me! I could see myself in most of his pieces! This is what a fashion show is about! If I were there I would have walked out with a huge smile!
